Famous for its summer festivals and its dedication to agricultural and nautical activities, San Javier, located in the Mar Menor, goes way beyond the mere expectations of beaches. Cool air and the fresh taste of seafood provide alternatives to this area, whose main tourist hotspots are Santiago de la Ribera and La Manga del Mar Menor.

The town has only developed since the mid-1980s when many British, German, French and Scandinavian expatriates settled in villas.

Molina de Segura lies about 10 km from the regional capital on the left bank of the River Segura. The main trunk road N-301 also runs through the town, making Molina an important transport hub, subsequently attracting important industries to set up in the area.

Not far from the capital of the Murcia Region, Fortuna is famous for the abundance of its hot springs. Water, scarce in this area, flows freely in Fortuna, giving rise to a number of fountains such as la Higuera, la Cueva Negra or los Baños, thermal springs that were already popular in Roman times and which have today converted Fortuna into an important spa town.

Gibraltar is an amazing co-mingling of past, present and future, and the list of things that a visit to Gibraltar should take in reality are as long as your arm, but there are some things that you just cannot miss.

Cabo de Palos is the most southerly place on the Mar Menor. It is a large village with a quaint marina which has moorings for about 100 small boats, and some excellent restaurants which are renowned for serving a great selection of fresh fish.
